Curriculum Statement:-

Nightingale Infant School pupils will be offered a broad and balanced curriculum which will include science, ICT, history, geography, art, music, PE, design and technology, PSHE and RE.

We recognise and uphold the principle that there is a great need to provide equality of opportunity for all children in all aspects of school life.

In class, lessons will sometimes be individual, small groups or whole class according to the type of work being undertaken. This may vary from class to class, depending on the approach of the class teacher.

The school aims to

  • ♥ Provide a curriculum which offers breadth and balance

  • ♥ Ensure that every child develops their full potential

  • ♥ Promote a high standard of behaviour in a positive manner

  • ♥ Share in the cultural diversity of our society

  • ♥ Offer equality of opportunity

  • ♥ Make school an enjoyable experience for all

  • ♥ Promote the welfare and safeguarding of all children for whom we are responsible or come into contact with

We offer the above in a safe environment which is welcoming, caring and stimulating. We are committed to providing a high quality of education. We value the positive contribution made by all members of the community.

NIGHTINGALE INFANT SCHOOL TERM

Nightingale Infant School will endeavour to update you on the latest term and holiday dates so that you may book your own holidays as early as possible without affecting your child's education.

NIGHTINGALE INFANT SCHOOL EXTRA CURRICULAR

Several Clubs opeate at lunchtime e.g. choir, library, gym, reading, painting. Ofsted commented favourably on the range of extra curriculum activities on offer. Most of these are on-going throughout the year for Key Stage 1. We have a weekend residential trip each year for Year Two children.
